History of Randleigh Farm
William Rand Kenan, Jr. was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, on April 30, 1872. Kenan graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1894 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After success in business, he became interested in philanthropy and founded the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust. He founded Randleigh Farm, a model dairy farm for research with Jersey cattle.
